Corporate Social Responsibility
At ÉPDUFERR Nyrt., we believe that success is not solely measured by business results. We consider it equally important to give back to our community the trust we receive each day. Our commitment to social responsibility is deeply rooted in our local ties, human-centered values, and a genuine desire to help.
One of the Company’s core principles is social responsibility and the pursuit of sustainable operations. In line with this, ÉPDUFERR has supported numerous charitable and community-driven initiatives over the years:
Through the "For People's Health" Foundation, we contributed to the surgical department of Szent Pantaleon Hospital, which is dedicated to restoring health and quality of life at the highest professional standards.
We donated HUF 1 million to the hospital’s Dr. Gergely Molnár Foundation via a charity jersey auction. The jersey, signed by the French national football team, symbolized real support for local healthcare.
We helped the residents of the Goodwill Home during lockdown by providing a specially designed meeting container that enabled safe contact with family members.
We supported underprivileged children's school start through the Reménycsillag Foundation.
As part of a tree-planting project on Szalki Island, ÉPDUFERR will plant a total of 40 trees to reduce environmental impact and contribute to Dunaújváros' greening efforts, in collaboration with forestry partners.
Family support has always been a key part of how ÉPDUFERR operates:
We maintain regular contact with colleagues on maternity leave and actively support their return to work.
As a gesture of support during the early stages of parenthood, we provide employees with a “SarahBox” baby starter kit filled with useful, high-quality products. The project, run by a Hungarian social enterprise, also collaborates with the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and UNICEF.
We introduced a Corporate Santa Day in 2022, which became a cherished annual event. Children of employees enthusiastically participate in this joyful tradition.
We are strongly committed to supporting local events, sports, and youth programs:
At the Újváros Festival and Free University, we hosted a booth and delivered a presentation titled "The Impact of Innovation and Automation in Sheet Metal Processing."
Since 2022, we have supported the YBL KIN Cup, a 24-hour university competition that fosters creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving among students.
We were proud supporters of the Dunaújváros Steel Darts Open in both 2022 and 2023, organized by the local darts club.
In 2024, we began supporting the Pannon Triathlon Club, which promotes lifelong physical activity and healthy lifestyles for children and young athletes.
We contributed to the “Grund Family and Sports Day”, organized by the “For the New Future of Dunaújváros” Association, promoting physical activity within the local community.
Despite a challenging economic year, we continued our support of the Ambrózia Festival and the International Strongman Competitions held in Dunaújváros and Dunaföldvár in 2024.
ÉPDUFERR Nyrt. is dedicated to environmental protection and energy efficiency:
We have installed solar panel systems at our headquarters and ÉPDUKER building materials store, significantly reducing our future energy consumption. Further installations are planned at our new steel trading site in 2024.
We have invested in energy-efficient, closed-extraction systems for production and warehouse areas.
Our sheet metal plant is heated during winter with recycled wood pellet boilers, providing an environmentally friendly, cost-effective solution that reduces emissions by 50% compared to gas heating.
Selective waste collection is in place at all offices and projects. A network-connected water purifier minimizes the use of single-use plastic bottles at our headquarters.
We prioritize eco-friendly and recycled materials in office procurement.
Our company is certified under the MSZ EN ISO 14001:2015 environmental management standard.
At the ÉPDUKER store, we have joined the Masterplast Eco-Point program, accepting clean offcuts of unused polystyrene insulation material for recycling.
As part of the “Night of Modern Factories” series, ÉPDUFERR has opened its production halls to the public for the third time. After an introductory presentation, visitors received guided tours and demonstrations of sheet metal processing machines led by our expert staff.
