The project with the identification number GINOP_PLUSZ-1.2.1-21-2021-00825 is implemented under the call for proposals titled “Support for developments assisting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in adapting to modern business and production challenges.”
The development is related to the company’s activities in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings and the manufacturing of metal structures.
At the press event, Épduferr Nyrt. colleagues presented the new machines purchased with the help of the grant, showcasing their impressive operation so that everyone could better understand the many ways in which this material can be utilized.
With the newly installed machines, they are now able to realize anything from residential needs to industrial applications.
Steel is increasingly used for decorating interior spaces, such as for making room dividers, stair railings, or fence elements and facade cladding. With the new laser machine, any design can be cut, limited only by imagination.
In industrial use, it is employed in structural construction, making scaffolding and formwork, as well as assembling building engineering systems. As a result, the products include cold- and hot-rolled sheets, coated sheets, hollow sections, various profiles, beams, rebar, and hot-rolled bar materials.
Roland Furda, Steel Trading and Manufacturing Director, highlighted, “Although the steel market situation has become volatile in recent times due to environmental factors, Épduferr Nyrt.’s steel trading and sheet processing business unit, Eximferr, is optimistic about the future. Thanks to continuous developments and our expert colleagues, we closed October with a record result.”
István Fodor, Head of Manufacturing at Eximferr, presented the machines in action, ensuring that the audience could get a comprehensive understanding of the details of the development. Thanks to this investment, production is now running continuously in two shifts, greatly increasing capacity and the number of employees. “It is a great joy for me to have followed and contributed to this success from the very beginning, but I can confidently say that there is still a long road ahead of us, as we are capable of establishing ourselves both in the domestic and international markets with this background and expert support.”

The elements of the project are as follows:
Equipment Procurement: The purchase of deburring machines, grinding machines, sheet metal shears, edge bending equipment, plasma and flame cutting machines, as well as laser cutting equipment. With the help of these newly acquired tools, the company’s metal structure manufacturing and construction activities will develop, and its capacity will expand.
Training: ICT training and soft skills training to enhance general and workplace competencies.
Consulting Activities: The use of executive coaching. The training primarily focuses on leadership topics, with the goal of improving leadership performance.
The project also involves the installation of renewable energy sources, specifically solar collectors, contributing to energy efficiency considerations during operations.
The project is being implemented thanks to the Széchenyi Plan Plus program, supported by the European Union, with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund and the domestic central government budget, with a non-repayable EU grant of 164.45 million HUF, and 45% own contribution, between October 28, 2021, and September 30, 2023.
Project Implementation Location: 2400 Dunaújváros, Verebély Road 14, Plot No. 780/32
