ÉPDUFERR Zrt. Launches One of Its Largest Development Programs

Last year, ÉPDUFERR Zrt. embarked on one of the most significant development programs in its history. Milán Palkovics, chairman of the board and owner, along with Roland Furda, deputy head of the technical department, provided details on the plans.

Expansion and Development

According to Milán Palkovics, the program aims to completely renew the company group:

“The strategic goal is to diversify ÉPDUFERR’s activities in every aspect by the end of next year. At ÉPDUKER, the range of products and services for construction projects has become essentially complete. The site has expanded by one and a half times, a paving stone exhibition area has been established, and the development of a fully comprehensive roofing center is well underway.”

He also highlighted that at the Verebély Street base, significant equipment acquisitions have been made through grants, totaling nearly 50 million forints. Additionally, the company secured 60 million forints in funding for the development of its Zalakomár site, strengthening ÉPDUFERR’s presence in Western Hungary.

Milán Palkovics revealed another long-term plan for the company group:

“Alongside our three existing pillars—building materials trade, general contracting, and steel trade and processing—we aim to enter a new sector. Our goal is to establish ÉPDUFERR’s real estate development division, focusing on the construction and sale of premium residential properties.”  

Focus on the Steel Market

The planned developments at the Verebély Street base were summarized by Roland Furda:

“Our CUTERAL CSM550 dual-column bandsaw is already in operation, and by July, the DENER Mitsubishi DNR CNC-controlled plasma and flame cutting machine with a 2000x6000 mm table is expected to be fully functional. These developments will enable us to not only sell flat products, hot-rolled sheets, and heavy plates but also cut and distribute components while offering various contract manufacturing services. We will continue to provide structural fabrication and metalworking services, and in the coming months, our service portfolio will be expanded with reinforcing steel bending.”

The Largest in Dunaújváros

ÉPDUFERR Zrt. was established in 2004, originally operating as a limited liability company. It initially specialized in steel structure manufacturing, later expanding into general contracting and main contracting, and for the past ten years, building materials trading has also been part of its core business.

The company operates its ÉPDUKER site on Budai Nagy Antal Street, while the ÉPDUFERR headquarters is located on Verebély Street. Additionally, ÉPDUFERR Engineering Office is based in Budapest.
