ÉPDUFERR Reports 39% Revenue Growth in 2021

ÉPDUFERR’s revenue increased by 39% compared to the previous year, reaching HUF 4.8 billion in 2021, according to its financial statements. Construction industry revenue accounted for HUF 4 billion, while the remaining turnover came from building materials trading and the steel trading operations launched mid-year.

Compared to 2020, the company successfully expanded its trading activities in 2021, diversifying its revenue streams in line with its strategic goals. While 90% of total revenue came from general contracting in 2020, this share dropped to 83% in 2021, despite overall growth.

2022 Growth Expectations

The management anticipates further revenue growth in 2022, primarily from contracts with multinational and large Hungarian corporations, while continuing to avoid the residential construction market. The company aims to strengthen its building materials trade by joining a distribution network, improving supply security and efficiency.

Steel trading performed significantly above expectations in Q1 2022 due to panic stockpiling triggered by the Russia-Ukraine war.

Expansion Plans

To meet the increased demand, ÉPDUFERR may bring forward its planned site expansion as its warehouses are currently operating at full capacity.

The company plans to establish a nationwide steel distribution network, integrating steel processing services. While steel processing did not generate revenue in 2021, this is expected to change in 2022, as ÉPDUFERR aims to complete equipment installations acquired through grant programs by Q3-Q4 2022, along with necessary personnel and infrastructure development.

Shareholder Decisions

At the general meeting, shareholders approved:

✔ The 2021 financial report

✔ The launch of an MRP (Management Remuneration Program)

✔ Election of new board and supervisory committee members

✔ Dividend payment of HUF 1.15 per share, approximately 2% per share
