Initially, the company focused on trading general building materials such as masonry elements, roof tiles, and water and thermal insulation systems. Over time, however, they have significantly expanded their product range, offering a unique building materials trading service. Thanks to this, Épduferr Zrt. has experienced rapid growth in a short period and is becoming an increasingly influential player in the market.  

A 300 million forint development project has been launched this year at the Épduferr Group, with the first phase focusing on expanding the product range at Épduker and, consequently, increasing the size of the trading area.

According to Milán Palkovics, as part of this expansion, the front wall facing the street was removed, which some may have mistakenly thought was the start of a roundabout construction. In the newly opened space, a paving stone display area will be created, allowing customers to choose from full-sized paving stones rather than relying on small color samples.

The adjacent plot next to Épduker has also been leased to store lumber, where wood materials will be kept under a covered area. The aim is to establish a roofing center within the building materials trade, where customers can purchase not only high-quality lumber but also all the necessary materials for constructing roof structures.

The product range has already been expanded to include both interior and exterior paints as well as wood care products. 

The further development of Épduferr Zrt. involves the establishment of a steel processing plant, and simultaneously, they have begun an extensive steel trading operation. Recently, a new sheet cutting machine has already arrived at the company’s site. The remaining machines will be acquired in the second half of the year, depending on the progress of development grants, all of which support steel sheet processing. With this investment, the company could even become an automotive supplier in the future. 

Épduferr generates an annual revenue of 4-5 billion forints in the construction industry and is considered a leading company in its field within the region. According to Milán Palkovics, government initiatives such as the family housing support program, the reduction of VAT on home purchases, and various subsidies for home renovations and residential construction have significantly boosted the construction industry. These effects are also evident at Épduferr Zrt., where there has been a noticeable increase in construction and renovation demand. Although the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily slowed this momentum, the growth trend is once again on the rise.

The owner attributes the company’s success to its diversified operations within the construction sector. The parent company functions as a general contractor, complemented by multiple divisions that are integral to construction processes yet operate as independent entities. Additionally, this year, the company plans to launch its real estate development activities, focusing on the construction of premium residential apartment buildings.
