“From the client’s perspective, last year was a tough period for us, mainly due to the war and energy prices. Even though we won projects, there was no money for them, and as a result, several projects were halted. So far, this year has been optimal for us, but when looking at the industry as a whole, I am very pessimistic. In the next two years, many construction companies will go bankrupt. The construction industry needs to increase its efficiency, but its realization is uncertain. One thing is for sure: in Western Europe, workers and technology are better compensated, which also contributes to a higher investment value per capita. However, our level of mechanization is still below expectations, as they carry out investments there with less manual labor,” said Milán Palkovics, Chairman of the Board of Épduferr Nyrt.
